Ballot Question FAQ
I thought you said there will be no tax increase with the referendum, but the ballot says there will be?
No, there will be no tax increase on your school bond property tax for homes under $350,000. The state of Minnesota requires a statement that says there will be an increase to be printed on the ballot. There is an estimated $1 per year tax increase on homes valued at $350,000 and over. This referendum replaces an old building bond levy for a term of 20 years.
