Principal Kurt Becker and the staff at CRES were recently awarded with the 2018 STEM Innovation Award, presented by the Minnesota Elementary School Principal’s Association and the Science Museum of Minnesota.

STEM stands for “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathe- matics”. CRES also includes “Arts” as part of their program, calling it a STEAM program. Since 2014, CRES’s program has grown to include all 536 K-6 students during the school day, and well over 100 students in their after-school and summer programs.

Mr. Becker and Miss Larsen will be attending MESPA’s annual conference on February 8 in Bloomington to accept the award. CRES students and staff will also receive free programming from the Science Museum!

Congrats to the team at CRES and thank you for all your hard work!
