GroShed Developed by C-I Alum

C-I Alum Creates "GroShed"
C-I students have a unique opportunity to see Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in action on Friday, October 26th!

Jon Friesner, is a graduate of C-I (class of 2003) and a parent of four current C-I students. Earlier this year, he started a new business after receiving a "start up" grant from the University of Minnesota. Called "GroShed, it's a self-contained, solar-powered, temperature-controlled, hydroponic growing shed that is going to go into production soon. He said it grows amazing vegetables year-round in Minnesota or any place in the world. He is bringing the "working prototype" to C-I free of charge on October 26 after he's done with the U of M's "promotional tour" that wraps up on October 19.

There will also be public demonstration at CIHS on Friday, October 26 from 4:30-5:30pm. Join us to learn more and celebrate Jon's innovation!
