The district strives to manage taxpayer dollars wisely; we are fiscally responsible and have been careful to keep school property taxes lower than most of our neighbors.

If the referendum is approved, the tax impact to homeowners of a property up to $349,000 would be $0 per month. Homes valued at $350,000+ will be $1/year or .08 cents per month.

How can you do all this work for zero tax increase?
The debt from the construction of the new junior high school will be paid off in 2023. This referendum would approve a new bond that replaces the old one. We would begin work before the old debt is totally retired, but the new debt would “wrap around” the debt from the 2002 referendum so that taxes for homes under $349,000 would not increase and those at $350,000 or more would only increase by a $1.00 per year. The new debt would also be for a 20-year term.
