Area youth are invited to participate Ranger Run, a youth cross country program for fun and fitness being held on Mondays at 6 p.m. through October 10 at Cuyuna Range Elementary School’s playground.
The program is open to students from pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade. Three age-appropriate races from one-half mile to one mile are ran rain or shine. Place ribbons are awarded at each grade level and medals are awarded to youth who run four of the five races. A special color run is planned for October 3.
Thanks to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Crosby-Ironton School’s Community Education, C-I Cross Country teams and coaches, and dedicated volunteers, the program is free. No registration or commitment is required. Youth can come for one run or all five.
Follow the program on Facebook at Ranger Run for any weather cancellations. For more information contact Chris McCusker, stormthecastle66@gmail.com or 319-541-5580.
