SALT students collected 59 toys plus 25 rice crispy treats to donate to HOPE, a local domestic violence advocacy organization. Toys and treats collected will benefit 14 families in need. Thank you to all who made this possible!

What was your favorite class in high school?
Four Lego League robotics teams competed in a First Lego League tournament in Hermantown on Saturday. Two teams came home with awards! The Growing Data Way team won the Robot Design Award. The //(Swoomp)=[1] team won the Rising All Star Award. All teams did a great job at the tournament! Lego League is an after school program that is offered each fall for students in 4th-8th grade through Community Education.

We are so thankful and grateful to our amazing staff! 18 staff members gathered at The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes and prepared over 8,000 meals in just two nights. These meals are coming back to our district and being distributed to students and families with food insecurities, especially over the holiday break.

Crosby-Ironton has been approved for an Americorp grant to hire a math tutor for students in grades 7-8. We're looking for people to help our students build their skills in math. As part of Math Corps, you'll work with students in pairs to provide extra practice and support. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available beginning in January. Tutors earn a paycheck every 2 weeks plus up to $4,800 for tuition or student loans. Apply online at join.readingandmath.org. #TutorOurKids

SALT is hosting a holiday toy drive for HOPE (Healing Opportunity Provided Equally), a local domestic violence advocacy organization. Now through December 8th, you can drop off a new or unused toy to bring joy to families in need. HOPE is seeking toy donations for ages 4-8. Donations can be dropped off at Family Dollar, CRES, the high school main office, or HOPE in Aitkin.
